Invention of Hangeul

This space shows, in an easy to understand manner, how Hangeul was created and presents ancient literature in Hangeul.

Science & Art

This space introduces King Sejong’s scientific and artistic achievements and allows you to listen to detailed explanations about the sundial and an astronomical chart. It also allows you to experience the diverse musical instruments created during the Sejong Period, such as the carillon and cladodium.

Military Policy

A space that introduces the conquest of Tsushima and Yi Man-ju’s conquest, and the pioneering of the 4th squad, troop 6, involving the construction and firing of cannons during the Sejong period.

The Life of Yi Sunshin

This space details Yi Sunshin’s life and the meaning of the title “Admiral.”
Here, you can study Admiral Yi Sun-shin’s chief legacy, WarDiary and a military service examscroll.

Korea’s Ships

The main battleship of the Joseon, Panokseon (panel covered ship), and Geobukseon (the turtle ship), the world’s best attack ship of its day. Also featured are the battleships of three countries (Joseon, Japan and Ming) are introduced.
Here, you can also ride and row a turtle ship, as well as fires its weapons.

A Seven Year History of Naval Warfare

This space introduces the background to the outbreak of the Japanese Invasion and the changes to the Three Kingdoms following its conclusion. Featured here is a three-sided composite display of Admiral Yi Sunshin’s naval battles and the tactics he employed.
